NFL: Week 13 Notebook

Dec. 3, 2007 - The Vikings make a statement; the Titans bounce back and the Broncos lay another egg. As both the real and fantasy playoff pictures get clearer, get the information you need with our Week 13 Notebook.

THURSDAY'S GAME

Dallas 37, Green Bay 27

Brett Favre's clone, Tony Romo, beat Brett Favre in a matchup between the NFC's heavyweights, and Dallas improved to 11-1 with a 37-27 win on Thursday night. Romo threw four touchdown passes, while Favre left early with a bruised right elbow and a separated left shoulder.

The Cowboys led 27-10 in the second quarter, but struggled to put the Aaron Rodgers-led Packers away on their home field. Rodgers, the Packers' first round draft choice in 2005, was cool and collected in his first significant game action, throwing for 201 yards and a touchdown.

Dallas Leaders
Tony Romo: 19-30, 309 yards, 4 TDs, INT
Marion Barber: 17 carries, 81 yards -- 1 catch, (-3) yards
Terrell Owens: 7 catches, 156 yards, TD
Patrick Crayton: 3 catches, 42 yards, 2 TDs

Green Bay Leaders
Aaron Rodgers: 18-26, 201 yards, TD, 0 INTs
Brett Favre: 5-14, 56 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs
Ryan Grant: 14 carries, 94 yards, 2 TDs -- 1 catch, 4 yards
Greg Jennings: 5 catches, 87 yards, TD

Other Notes
With 10 days between games, Favre is expected to suit up and make his 250th consecutive start against Oakland next weekend. ... Rodgers entered the game with 31 career pass attempts and completed 18-of-26 passes against Dallas. ... Dallas (11-1) gets a big leg up on Green Bay (10-2) for homefield advantage, gaining a game in the standings and owning any potential tiebreaker. ... Terrell Owens had 156 yards receiving and caught a touchdown pass for the seventh straight game. The NFL record is 13 consecutive games (Jerry Rice). ... Romo threw the fourth of his TD passes to Patrick Crayton midway through the fourth quarter. The third-year quarterback has a Cowboys- record 33 TDs and 14 interceptions through 12 games. ... Crayton's two TD catches totaled seven yards. ... Packers running back Ryan Grant turned in his fourth straight big effort with 94 rushing yards and a touchdown. Grant has scored in three of his last four games.

SUNDAY'S GAMES

Carolina 31, San Francisco 14

Carolina snapped a five-game losing streak and a seven-game home losing streak, defeating the hapless 49ers 31-14. Ageless wonder Vinny Testaverded got the Panthers out to a 10-0 lead, and cornerback Richard Marshall's 67-yard interception return for a touchdown proved to be an early dagger for the Panthers.

Trent Dilfer turned a 17-0 halftime deficit into a 17 -14 game with third quarter TD passes to Arnaz Battle and Delanie Walker, but Carolina pulled away on a pair of late scores by DeShaun Foster and tight end Jeff King.

Carolina Leaders
Vinny Testaverde: 17-26, 169 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs
DeAngelo Williams: 17 carries, 82 yards -- 1 catch, 46 yards
DeShaun Foster: 21 carries, 58 yards, TD -- 3 catches, 35 yards
Steve Smith: 8 catches, 64 yards

San Francisco Leaders
Trent Dilfer: 14-29, 171 yards, 2 TDs, 4 INTs
Frank Gore: 12 carries, 58 yards -- 5 catches, 53 yards
Arnaz Battle: 4 catches, 51 yards, TD

Other Notes
It was a near even split of the work load for Panthers running backs DeShaun Foster and DeAngelo Williams. Foster rushed 21 times for 58 yards, while Williams carried 17 times for 82 yards and added a 46-yard reception. ... 49ers running back Frank Gore went over the 100 total yard mark for the second straight game and the fourth time this season. ... Steve Smith had his highest number of receptions (eight) since the Panthers' Week 7 bye, but had short touchdowns poached by Dante Rosario and Jeff King.

Indianapolis 28, Jacksonville 25

The upstart Jaguars gave the AFC South leading Colts a run in the fourth quarter, but couldn't overcome a 14 -0 first quarter deficit and fell, 28-25 in Indianapolis. Peyton Manning threw a season-high four touchdown passes, including a 1-yard game-winning toss to Luke Lawton in the fourth quarter.

Jacksonville quarterback David Garrard had his first turnovers of the 2007 season (a fumble and interception), but was solid in a losing effort, completing 24-of-29 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns.

Indianapolis Leaders
Peyton Manning: 20-29, 288 yards, 4 TDs, INT
Joseph Addai: 21 carries, 67 yards
Reggie Wayne: 8 catches, 158 yards, TD
Dallas Clark: 7 catches, 60 yards, 2 TDs

Jacksonville Leaders
David Garrard: 24-29, 257 yards, 2 TDs, INT
Fred Taylor: 14 carries, 104 yards
Maurice Jones-Drew: 11 carries, 52 yards, TD -- 1 catch, 5 yards
Ernest Wilford: 5 catches, 72 yards
Marcedes Lewis/Dennis Northcutt: TD reception each

Other Notes
The box score didn't hold any details back, in terms of who Manning was targeting. He completed 15 of his 20 passes, including three touchdowns, to wide receiver Reggie Wayne and tight end Dallas Clark. ... As has usually been the case, Garrard got all of his below-average receivers into the mix. Eight different receivers caught passes and six had at least two catches. ... Fred Taylor has rushed 14 times for 104 yards in each of the last two weeks. Last week's 104- yard performance came along with a score, while Maurice Jones-Drew was the only Jags back to score vs. Indy. ... Dallas Clark appears all the way back from a concussion that sidelined him in Week 10 and limited him in Week 11. In the last two weeks, Clark has 11 catches and three touchdowns.

San Diego 24, Kansas City 10

LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 177 yards and two second-half touchdowns to help the Chargers build a two-game lead in the AFC West with a 24-10 win at Kansas City. Tomlinson moved ahead of Chicago Bears great Walter Payton with his 110th and 111th career touchdown runs - good for third on the all-time list.

The Chargers defense smothered the Chiefs offense behind starter-turned-backup-turned-starter Damon Huard. San Diego sacked Huard seven times and backup Tyler Thigpen once and intercepted three passes, two of which came from NFL interceptions leader Antonio Cromartie.

San Diego Leaders
Philip Rivers: 10-21, 157 yards, TD, INT
LaDainian Tomlinson: 23 carries, 177 yards, 2 TDs -- 3 catches, 20 yards
Chris Chambers: 2 catches, 50 yards
Vincent Jackson: 1 catch, 38 yards, TD

Kansas City Leaders
Damon Huard: 19-34, 186 yards, TD, 2 INTs
Kolby Smith: 21 carries, 83 yards -- 2 catches, 1 yard
Tony Gonzalez: 10 catches, 140 yards

Other Notes
Tomlinson quietly leads the NFL with 11 rushing touchdowns in 2007. ... Chargers QB Philip Rivers had another mediocre performance, completing less than half of his passes (10-of-21) for 157 yards, a touchdown and an interception. ... Rookie Kolby Smith started at running back for the Chiefs for the second straight game in place of veterans Larry Johnson (foot) and Priest Holmes (retirement). With the Chiefs now losing five straight games, it's looking less and less likely that we'll see Johnson again this season. He has already been ruled out of Week 14's game vs. Denver. ... Tight end Tony Gonzalez had 10 of KC's 21 receptions and totaled a season-high 140 yards. ... Defensive end Jared Allen caught Huard's lone TD pass, a 2-yarder in the second quarter. Allen also had two sacks.

New York Jets 40, Miami 13

The Jets entered the game as 1-point underdogs to the winless Dolphins and left with a 40-13 blowout win in Miami. New York picked off rookie quarterback John Beck three times and scored 30 unanswered points to win for the third time this season.

Jets running backs Thomas Jones (74 yards, TD) and Leon Washington (68 yards, 2 TDs) finished three of the team's five scoring drives. Kellen Clemens won the battle of rookie quarterbacks, though not in explosive fashion, going 15-of-24 for 236 yards, a touchdown and a pick.

New York Leaders
Kellen Clemens: 15-24, 236 yards, TD, INT
Thomas Jones: 24 carries, 75 yards, TD -- 1 catch, 25 yards
Leon Washington: 10 carries, 68 yards, 2 TDs -- 2 catches, 35 yards
Laveranues Coles: 5 catches, 69 yards

Miami Leaders
John Beck: 23-39, 177 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTs
Jesse Chatman: 11 carries, 26 yards -- 2 catches, 10 yards
Lorenzo Booker: 6 catches, 63 yards

Other Notes
Miami starting running back Jesse Chatman missed the second half with an ankle injury. Lorenzo Booker led a trio of other Dolphins rushers with six rushing yards and caught a team-high six passes for 63 yards. ... Jones found the end zone for the first time this year, while his backup, Washington, has three rushing TDs. ... Beck completed 23 of his 39 passes for just 177 yards, an average of 7.7 yards per completion and 4.5 yards per attempt.

Minnesota 42, Detroit 10

Minnesota sent Detroit to its fourth straight loss in big fashion, taking a 35-10 halftime lead and cruising to a 42-10 win. Rookie sensation Adrian Peterson returned to the Vikings backfield and rushed for 116 yards and two scores, while quarterback Tarvaris Jackson threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns.

Minnesota has now won three straight games and enters a stretch of winnable games against San Francisco, Chicago, Washington and reeling Denver to close the year. They enter Week 14 tied with Detroit and Arizona for the NFC's sixth and final playoff spot, and they protect a one-game lead over five 5-7 teams.

Minnesota Leaders
Tarvaris Jackson: 18-24, 204 yards, 2 TDs, INT
Adrian Peterson: 15 carries, 116 yards, 2 TDs -- 1 catch, 10 yards
Chester Taylor: 14 carries, 70 yards, TD
Bobby Wade: 4 catches, 54 yards, TD
Sidney Rice: 5 catches, 53 yards, TD

Detroit Leaders
Jon Kitna: 27-36, 260 yards, TD, INT
T.J. Duckett: 3 carries, 22 yards
Roy Williams: 5 catches, 85 yards

Chester Taylor also got into the act for Minnesota, rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown. Expect Peterson to continue getting a slight majority of carries, but for Taylor to rush 10+ times and get some red zone attempts. ... Jackson finished the first half with two touchdown passes in the final 2:17. His 2-yard strike to Sidney Rice on a fade pattern was his third TD in the last two games. ... Lions wide receiver Roy Williams will reportedly miss the remainder of the season with an injury to his right knee, according to the Detroit News. ... Against the NFL's top-ranked rush defense, the Lions ran just seven times. Starter Kevin Jones had just three carries for one yard.

Seattle 28, Philadelphia 24

Seattle went into Philadelphia and escaped with 28-24 win, in the process emptying the A.J. Feeley bandwagon and all but locking up the NFC West crown. Linebacker Lofa Tatupu had three of the Seahawks' four interceptions of Feeley, the third of which came in the red zone in the final minute with the Eagles looking for a go-ahead score.

Seattle's new two-headed monster in the backfield, starter Shaun Alexander and Maurice Morris, combined for 129 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck added two more scores through the air in the Seahawks' fourth straight win.

Seattle Leaders
Matt Hasselbeck: 19-34, 187 yards, 2 TDs, INT
Shaun Alexander: 20 carries, 65 yards, TD
Maurice Morris: 5 carries, 64 yards, TD
Nate Burleson: 4 catches, 71 yards, TD
Bobby Engram: 5 catches, 60 yards, TD

Philadelphia Leaders
A.J. Feeley: 19-42, 220 yards, TD, 4 INTs
Brian Westbrook: 21 carries, 93 yards, TD -- 7 catches, 46 yards
Kevin Curtis: 6 catches, 111 yards, TD

Other Notes
Eagles running back Brian Westbrook scored a rushing touchdown for the fifth time in six games. Westbrook has already matched his 2006 production with 11 total TDs - 7 rushing, 4 receiving. ... Westbrook set up the Eagles' potential winning drive in the final minute with a 64 yard punt return to the Seahawks' 14 yard line. Feeley was sacked once and intercepted by Tatupu to end the game. ... Eagles kicker David Akers missed his sixth 40+ yard field goal in eight tries this season.

St. Louis 28, Atlanta 16

St. Louis jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead and held on for a 28-16 win over Atlanta. Backup quarterback Chris Redman led the Falcons on two fourth quarter touchdown drives, but the Rams sealed the game on a 50-yard touchdown run by Steven Jackson.

Rams' backup Gus Frerotte threw for 311 yards and three scores in Marc Bulger's absence. He had touchdown strikes to Torry Holt, who finished with six catches for 135 yards, Isaac Bruce and Randy McMichael.

St. Louis Leaders
Gus Frerotte: 23-35, 311 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs
Steven Jackson: 20 carries, 96 yards, TD -- 4 catches, 71 yards
Torry Holt: 6 catches, 135 yards, TD

Atlanta Leaders
Chris Redman: 16-24, 172 yards, 2 TDs, INT
Jerious Norwood: 8 carries, 94 yards -- 3 catches, 21 yards
Roddy White: 10 catches, 146 yards, TD

Other Notes
Falcons receiver Roddy White has made connections with both Joey Harrington and Redman. White had 10 catches for 145 yards and a score on Sunday - his second straight game with at least 100 yards and a TD. ... Is this when Jerious Norwood starts to win a majority of carries from Warrick Dunn? Norwood rushed eight times for 94 yards, giving a good glimpse of his big play potential while the Falcons moved even closer to the NFC's cellar. ... Steven Jackson has carried 20 or more times in each of the four games since returning from groin and back injuries. His 50-yard touchdown run against Atlanta was his second long TD in as many weeks.

Tennessee 28, Houston 20

Tennessee came out of a funk in time to beat Houston 28-20 and revive its dwindling playoff hopes. Two touchdown passes from quarterback Vince Young were a big spark, but so too was a defensive effort that included Albert Haynesworth's return and a hit by Antwan Odom that knocked out Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.

Young, LenDale White and Chris Brown contributed to a Titans ground attack that totaled 153 yards and two touchdowns and averaged 5.3 yards per rush. A 28-yard touchdown pass from Sage Rosenfels to Andre Johnson cut the Tennessee lead to 21-17 in the fourth quarter, but Brown scored from seven yards less than three minutes later to put the game out of reach.

Tennessee Leaders
Vince Young: 21-31, 248 yards, 2 TDs, INT
LenDale White: 12 carries, 60 yards, TD -- 1 catch, 7 yards
Chris Brown: 11 carries, 46 yards, TD -- 2 catches, 13 yards
Roydell Williams: 5 catches, 74 yards, TD
Justin Gage: 5 catches, 64 yards, TD

Houston Leaders
Sage Rosenfels: 17-30, 185 yards, TD, INT
Ron Dayne: 18 carries, 86 yards, TD -- 3 catches, 25 yards
Andre Johnson: 9 catches, 116 yards, TD

Other Notes
After a down week when Cleveland blanketed him in the secondary, Andre Johnson got back to his dominant form with nine catches, 116 yards and a score. Johnson has 100+ yards and at least one TD in four of his five games this season. ... Schaub, who separated his non- throwing shoulder, isn't likely to play against Tampa Bay in Week 14. ... Ron Dayne continues to fill in nobly for oft-injured Ahman Green, rushing for 86 yards and a touchdown. Over his last four games, Dayne has averaged 94 yards rushing and scored twice. ... Justin Gage is emerging as Tennessee's best and most consistent receiving option, especially in terms of fantasy. Including Sunday, Gage has gone over the 60- yard mark in four straight games and scored twice over that span.

Buffalo 17, Washington 16

In a physical game that featured just one touchdown, Buffalo came back in odd fashion and beat heavy- hearted Washington, 17-16. With four seconds remaining, Redskins coach Joe Gibbs called back-to- back timeouts to ice Bills kicker Rian Lindell on a 51-yard attempt. The second of those timeout calls, by rule, resulted in a 15-yard penalty and a much more makeable attempt for Lindell, who nailed it to end the game.

Lindell kicked five field goals in the second half, including four straight to help the Bills overcome a 16-5 third quarter deficit. Buffalo's other points came when Angelo Crowell sacked quarterback Jason Campbell in the end zone for a safety.

Buffalo Leaders
Trent Edwards: 22-36, 257 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs
Fred Jackson: 16 carries, 82 yards -- 4 catches, 69 yards
Josh Reed: 5 catches, 67 yards

Washington Leaders
Jason Campbell: 21-37, 216 yards, 0 TDs, INT
Clinton Portis: 25 carries, 50 yards, TD -- 2 catches, 10 yards
Chris Cooley: 7 catches, 89 yards

Other Notes
Lindell hasn't missed a field goal since Week 5 in Dallas, when he missed a potential game-winner from 54 yards. Since then, he has connected on his last 17 straight. ... Redskins running back Clinton Portis, who played with a sore back and without the services of fullback Mike Sellers, rushed 25 times for 50 yards and the game's only touchdown. Portis has been held to fewer than 70 yards in seven of his 11 starts. ... Five different Buffalo receivers caught at least four passes from quarterback Trent Edwards, which is a bad sign for the struggling Lee Evans. Running back Fred Jackson led the team with 69 receiving yards and Josh Reed led with his five catches. ... Jackson totaled 151 yards from scrimmage in relief of Marshawn Lynch and Anthony Thomas, who both missed the game with leg injuries. Lynch (ankle) appears to be making progress and could make it back this week.

Arizona 27, Cleveland 21

In a battle of upstart franchises looking for playoff berths, Arizona jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the game's first 10 minutes and never trailed in a 27-21 win over Cleveland. In the final seconds, a Derek Anderson pass to tight end Kellen Winslow was ruled incomplete when a case could have been made that Winslow was forced out by defenders.

Turnovers were the story for Cleveland. Two of them by Anderson on the Browns' first two possessions led to Arizona scores. Anderson's first, an interception by Roderick Hood, was returned 71 yards for a score, and his second, a fumble at his own 43-yard line, led to a 5-yard touchdown from Kurt Warner to Leonard Pope.

Arizona Leaders
Kurt Warner: 18-30, 169 yards, 2 TDs, INT
Edgerrin James: 24 carries, 114 yards
Bryant Johnson: 6 catches, 56 yards, TD

Cleveland Leaders
Derek Anderson: 21-41, 304 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs
Jamal Lewis: 16 carries, 62 yards -- 3 catches, 24 yards, TD
Braylon Edwards: 7 catches, 149 yards, TD

Other Notes
This game closely resembled Arizona's sloppy contest against San Francisco last weekend, only the Cardinals were on the winning end of this one. Controversy was prevalent on two big plays by Cleveland - a reviewed 67-yard touchdown by Braylon Edwards and the incompletion to Winslow. ... Derek Anderson threw for at least two touchdowns for the eighth time this season. ... Edgerrin James rushed for 114 yards - his second 100+ yard performance of the year. With injuries to receivers Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald, James and the rushing game could be in for a heavy load again next week.

Oakland 34, Denver 20

Oakland got the best of both worlds, leading from start to finish against the Broncos and letting their No. 1 overall draft pick JaMarcus Russell find some success in his NFL debut. The Raiders won the game behind a strong performance by quarterback Josh McCown, and Russell completed 4-of-7 passes for 56 yards.

Running back Justin Fargas put in another good day's work on the ground, rushing 33 times for 146 yards and a touchdown. The Raider defense stifled Jay Cutler, and the team got a much needed shot of optimism heading down the stretch and into 2008.

Oakland Leaders
Josh McCown: 14-21, 141 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs
Justin Fargas: 33 carries, 146 yards, TD -- 2 catches, 18 yards
Zach Miller: 3 catches, 58 yards, TD
Jerry Porter: 5 catches, 49 yards, TD

Denver Leaders
Jay Cutler: 16-32, 214 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs
Travis Henry: 15 carries, 49 yards, 2 TDs
Brandon Stokley: 3 catches, 102 yards

Other Notes
Cutler had taken some momentum into Week 13, throwing for two scores in each of his previous two games. Against Oakland, he was shut out for the third time this seaosn. ... Denver running back Travis Henry suited up for the first time in a month, carrying 15 times for 49 yards and two touchdowns. On Wednesday, it was announced that he won his appeal of a one-year suspension and will finish the rest of the season. ... Fargas has been a force since taking over for an ineffective LaMont Jordan in Week 9. In five games as a starter, he has rushed for 530 yards and three touchdowns. ... Broncos receiver Javon Walker was more healthy in his second game back from a knee injury, but caught just one pass for seven yards. He should become more of a factor in the passing game down the stretch.

Tampa Bay 27, New Orleans 23

Luke McCown found tight end Jerramy Stevens on a four -yard touchdown to cap a bizarre Buccaneers comeback in a 27-23 win over the Saints. New Orleans, which lost its third straight, turned the ball over to McCown and the Bucs offense on a botched reverse play to set up the score.

McCown led all NFL passers with 313 passing yards in his first start of the year. Running back Earnest Graham added 106 yards and a score on the ground and touched the ball six times on the Bucs' winning drive.

Tampa Bay Leaders
Luke McCown: 29-37, 313 yards, 2 TDs, INT
Earnest Graham: 22 carries, 106 yards, TD -- 7 catches, 37 yards
Joey Galloway: 7 catches, 159 yards

New Orleans Leaders
Drew Brees: 17-23, 179 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Reggie Bush: 13 carries, 64 yards -- 3 catches, 13 yards
Devery Henderson: 1 catch, 45 yards, TD

Other Notes
McCown was impressive in his first start, but with Jeff Garcia expected back next week, he should be returning to the bench. ... Graham scored for the fourth straight game and went over the 100-yard mark for the third time in his last four. ... Brees managed his lowest yardage total of the season, but threw for two scores for the seventh time in eight games. ... Ageless wonder Joey Galloway caught seven passes for 159 yards. He rebounded from back-to-back subpar performances in the previous two weeks and racked season-highs in catches and yards.

New York Giants 21, Chicago 16

Eli Manning rebounded from another rough day with two late marches down the field to lead a 21-16 Giants comeback effort against the Bears. Manning had three turnovers, but rallied New York back from 16-7 deficit with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Amani Toomer and another drive that led to a 2-yard score by Reuben Droughns.

Chicago fell to 5-7 and lost quarterback Rex Grossman for the season with a knee injury. The Bears stand a game behind Minnesota, Detroit and Arizona in the race for the NFC's sixth and final playoff spot.

New York Leaders
Eli Manning: 16-27, 195 yards, TD, 2 INTs
Derrick Ward: 24 carries, 154 yards, TD -- 2 catches, 29 yards
Amani Toomer: 6 catches, 69 yards, TD

Chicago Leaders
Rex Grossman: 25-46, 296 yards, TD, 0 INTs
Adrian Peterson: 22 carries, 67 yards -- 7 catches, 82 yards
Desmond Clark: 5 catches, 76 yards, TD

Pittsburgh 24, Cincinnati 10

Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes to Hines Ward and ran for another score to lift Pittsburgh to a 24-10 win and all but ensure that Cincinnati misses the playoffs. Ward's two catches, a 6-yarder in the second quarter and an 8-yarder in the third, moved the gritty wideout into first place in franchise history with 64 touchdown TDs.

Cincinnati scored the game's first touchdown on a Rudi Johnson in the first quarter, but was never closer than seven points in the second half. The Bengals managed just 249 yards against the NFL's top-ranked defense in falling to 4-8 on the season.

Pittsburgh Leaders
Ben Roethlisberger: 21-32, 184 yards, 3 TDs (1 rush), 2 INTs
Willie Parker: 28 carries, 87 yards -- 1 catch, 14 yards
Hines Ward: 11 catches, 90 yards, 2 TDs

Cincinnati Leaders
Carson Palmer: 17-44, 183 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs
Rudi Johnson: 14 carries, 34 yards, TD
Chad Johnson: 6 catches, 86 yards

Other Notes
Ward caught more passes (11) than the rest of Pittsburgh's receivers combined. He has 20 catches in the last two weeks while Santonio Holmes has missed time with an ankle injury. ... Carson Palmer completed less than half his passes for the first time this season and had his lowest quarterback rating (51.6) of the year. ... Steelers running back Willie Parker rushed for 87 yards, but had a hard time holding on to the ball in the second half. Parker lost two fumbles in the game and had two other near-fumbles ruled in his favor. ... Once again, the trio of Chad Johnson (6 catches-86 yards), T.J. Houshmandzadeh (5-42) and Chris Henry (2-31) did most of the damage through the air. The group accounted for 159 of Palmer's 184 passing yards.
