Favre Retires After 17 Seasons
March 5, 2008 - Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre announced his retirement on Tuesday, bringing an end to a 17-year career that included numerous passing records and a 1996 Super Bowl championship. Favre set NFL records with 442 career touchdown passes, 61,655 passing yards, 160 wins and 253 consecutive regular season starts, and he ranked among the best, most charismatic quarterbacks in league history.
