| Round 1 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 1 | Team 1 | LaDainian Tomlinson, SD | RB | 7 | | 2 | Team 2 | Steven Jackson, Stl | RB | 9 | | 3 | Team 3 | Larry Johnson, KC | RB | 8 | | 4 | Team 4 | Joseph Addai, Ind | RB | 6 | | 5 | Team 5 | Frank Gore, SF | RB | 6 | | 6 | Team 6 | Shaun Alexander, Sea | RB | 8 | | 7 | Team 7 | Rudi Johnson, Cin | RB | 5 | | 8 | Team 8 | Brian Westbrook, Phi | RB | 5 | | 9 | Team 9 | Willie Parker, Pit | RB | 6 | | 10 | Team 10 | Peyton Manning, Ind | QB | 6 | Analysis - Everybody got a good player in the first round ... there was nothing out of the ordinary, a couple of personal taste decisions between Joseph Addai and Frank Gore at Nos. 4 and 5 and then the trio of Rudi Johnson, Brian Westbrook and Willie Parker ... I always say that if you can get Peyton Manning with a pick number that's in double digits, you do pretty well, and Team 10 did that. Best Pick - LaDainian Tomlinson - getting the best player should always be the best pick of a round. Questionable Pick - Peyton Manning – only questionable in the sense that he was the only non-running back of the round. |
|
| Round 2 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 11 | Team 10 | Laurence Maroney, NE | RB | 10 | | 12 | Team 9 | Reggie Bush, NO | RB | 4 | | 13 | Team 8 | Travis Henry, Den | RB | 6 | | 14 | Team 7 | Willis McGahee, Bal | RB | | <>8> | 15 | Team 6 | Marvin Harrison, Ind | WR | 6 | | 16 | Team 5 | Maurice Jones-Drew, Jax | RB | 4 | | 17 | Team 4 | Ronnie Brown, Mia | RB | 5 | | 18 | Team 3 | Chad Johnson, Cin | WR | 5 | | 19 | Team 2 | Carson Palmer, Cin | QB | 5 | | 20 | Team 1 | Steve Smith, Car | WR | 7 | Analysis -Reggie Bush offers the most upside of really any player short of LT, Steven Jackson and Larry Johnson, I wouldn't think you're crazy for taking him anywhere ... three receivers went off the board in Marvin Harrison (No. 15), Chad Johnson (No. 18) and Steve Smith (No. 20) ... it is quite possible that Team 1 got the best running back in the draft in LT and the best receiver in Smith. Best Pick - Reggie Bush - figure the sky's the limit on his upside and last year's production represents the downside of his potential. Questionable Pick - Ronnie Brown - still doesn't appear to be living up to his big time talent. |
|
| Round 3 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 21 | Team 1 | Torry Holt, Stl | WR | 9 | | 22 | Team 2 | Cedric Benson, Chi | RB | 9 | | 23 | Team 3 | Reggie Wayne, Ind | WR | 6 | | 24 | Team 4 | Tom Brady, NE | QB | 10 | | 25 | Team 5 | Terrell Owens, Dal | WR | | <>8> | 26 | Team 6 | Edgerrin James, Ari | RB | 8 | | 27 | Team 7 | Drew Brees, NO | QB | 4 | | 28 | Team 8 | Thomas Jones, NYJ | RB | 10 | | 29 | Team 9 | Antonio Gates, SD | TE | 7 | | 30 | Team 10 | Clinton Portis, Was | RB | 4 | Analysis - Team 1 followed up the Smith selection with a second wideout, Torry Holt, with the opening pick of the second round ... does a dominant duo at WR complement Tomlinson the best way possible? Only time will tell ... the cream of the crop receivers went off the board in a hurry in Round 3, which created different "have" and "have not" scenarios for each team ... Team 8 eliminated all of its starting running back positions with a third straight, putting Brian Westbrook, Travis Henry and Thomas Jones on its roster ... meanwhile, killer WR combinations were developing in Smith and Holt and Johnson and Reggie Wayne. Best Pick - Edgerrin James - he could be a force and is a nice fit combined with the selections of other trusty veterans, Shaun Alexander and Marvin Harrison. Questionable Pick - Torry Holt - I have a hard time believing that taking a second WR with impact running backs still on the board is a good move. |
|
| Round 4 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 31 | Team 10 | Larry Fitzgerald, Ari | WR | 8 | | 32 | Team 9 | Donovan McNabb, Phi | QB | 5 | | 33 | Team 8 | Marc Bulger, Stl | QB | 9 | | 34 | Team 7 | Roy Williams, Det | WR | 6 | | 35 | Team 6 | Deuce McAllister, NO | RB | 4 | | 36 | Team 5 | Lee Evans, Buf | RB | 6 | | 37 | Team 4 | Marshawn Lynch, Buf | RB | 6 | | 38 | Team 3 | Brandon Jacobs, NYG | RB | 9 | | 39 | Team 2 | Donald Driver, GB | WR | 7 | | 40 | Team 1 | Carnell Williams, TB | RB | 10 | Analysis - Team 4 took the first rookie off the board in Bills running back Marshawn Lynch, who will act as his No. 3 running back ... Lynch's teammate Lee Evans got the respect he deserved when Team 5 selected him No. 36 overall ... unfortunate, but not earth shattering, news came for Team 2 when WR Donald Driver injured his ankle the day after our mock draft ... two quarterbacks joined at the hip - Marc Bulger and Donovan McNabb - went with the No. 32 and 33 picks ... no QBs would be taken after them until Vince Young at No 55. Best Pick - Marshawn Lynch - you see Lynch going as many as 10 or 12 picks higher in some drafts, and adding him with minimal expectations as your No. 3 back is a strong move. Questionable Pick - Carnell Williams - I keep telling myself that Williams is a good bargain at this point, but then don't want to be the one taking him. |
|
| Round 5 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 41 | Team 1 | T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Cin | WR | 5 | | 42 | Team 2 | Javon Walker, Den | WR | 6 | | 43 | Team 3 | Marques Colston, NO | WR | 4 | | 44 | Team 4 | Calvin Johnson, Det | WR | 6 | | 45 | Team 5 | Marion Barber III, Dal | RB | 8 | | 46 | Team 6 | Randy Moss, NE | WR | 10 | | 47 | Team 7 | Andre Johnson, Hou | WR | 10 | | 48 | Team 8 | Hines Ward, Pit | WR | 6 | | 49 | Team 9 | Anquan Boldin, Ari | WR | 8 | | 50 | Team 10 | Ahman Green, Hou | RB | 10 | Analysis - The wide receiver situation is getting more dire, with eight of the 10 selections in the fifth round being wideouts ... Team 4 got its first receiver in rookie Calvin Johnson, which is a dicey move, but necessary when you're seeing WR candidates with upside dwindling away ... for about 15 consecutive picks, someone had considered taking Randy Moss, and Team 6 was finally the one put in a position where he "had" to ... Marion Barber III is an extremely good value at No. 45 overall; the man did score 14 touchdowns as a rookie last year ... Ahman Green, one of the few remaining running backs in sole possession of a starting job, was the final selection of the round, joining Maroney and Portis in Team 10's backfield. Best Pick - Marion Barber III - circumstance dropped him this far in the draft, but he could end up making 9 different owners look foolish. Questionable Pick - Calvin Johnson - Team 4 overaddressed its need for an impact WR and left Andre Johnson, Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress on the board. |
|
| Round 6 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 51 | Team 10 | Plaxico Burress, NYG | WR | 9 | | 52 | Team 9 | Jamal Lewis, Cle | RB | 7 | | 53 | Team 8 | Jeremy Shockey, NYG | TE | 9 | | 54 | Team 7 | Adrian Peterson, Min | RB | 5 | | 55 | Team 6 | Vince Young, Ten | QB | 4 | | 56 | Team 5 | Tony Gonzalez, KC | TE | 8 | | 57 | Team 4 | Bears D/ST, Chi | D/ST | 9 | | 58 | Team 3 | Todd Heap, Bal | TE | 8 | | 59 | Team 2 | Fred Taylor, Jax | RB | 4 | | 60 | Team 1 | Jerious Norwood, Atl | RB | 8 | Analysis - This round presented a little bit of everything ... the first defense (Chicago) went off the board; there was a small run on tight ends and running backs were basically cleaned out ... the additions of Jamal Lewis and Adrian Peterson provided quality No. 3 backs for Teams 9 and 7, respectively, and they're nice backs for different reasons ... lacking great options at his position of need (WR), Team 4 filled a starting position by taking the Bears defense ... everyone understands that Fred Taylor has value, but also can't wait for him to just retire from football ... Team 1 locked up his third starting running back in Atlanta's Jerious Norwood, who hung around for a little too long. Best Pick - Adrian Peterson - He, Barber and Norwood serve as proof that maybe, just maybe, you CAN wait to fill out your starting running backs. Questionable Pick - Bears Defense - cases can be made that this was a premature pick and that the Ravens D would have been a better choice. |
|
| Round 7 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 61 | Team 1 | Matt Hasselbeck, Sea | QB | 8 | | 62 | Team 2 | Santana Moss, Was | WR | 4 | | 63 | Team 3 | Chester Taylor, Min | RB | 5 | | 64 | Team 4 | Reggie Brown, Phi | WR | 5 | | 65 | Team 5 | Ravens D/ST, Bal | D/ST | 8 | | 66 | Team 6 | Laveranues Coles, NYJ | WR | 10 | | 67 | Team 7 | Vernon Davis, SF | TE | 6 | | 68 | Team 8 | Darrell Jackson, SF | WR | 6 | | 69 | Team 9 | Deion Branch, Sea | WR | 8 | | 70 | Team 10 | Alge Crumpler, Atl | TE | 8 | Analysis - Eight picks in the seventh round were pass catchers - 5 receivers and 3 tight ends ... this was the unofficial start of the "second tier" of wideouts, and some quality ones found their homes ... Santana Moss and Laveranues Coles have some question marks in their team's starting quarterbacks, but Reggie Brown, Darrell Jackson and Deion Branch do not ... Chester Taylor, the lone running back of the round, went at a nice price at No. 63 overall ... every team now has 3 running backs, all of which will presumably fill the RB and WR/RB starting slots. Best Pick - Santana Moss - one disappointing season ago, he was twice as valuable on draft day; QB Jason Campbell may not be prolific, but will be a steadier, more consistent presence passing to Moss. Questionable Pick - Laveranues Coles - I have a bad feeling about Chad Pennington and that Jets offense. Coles was excellent last season and still didn't put up thrilling numbers. |
|
| Round 8 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 71 | Team 10 | Ladell Betts, Was | RB | 4 | | 72 | Team 9 | Joey Galloway, TB | WR | 10 | | 73 | Team 8 | Chris Chambers, Mia | WR | 9 | | 74 | Team 7 | Jerricho Cotchery, NYJ | WR | 10 | | 75 | Team 6 | Patriots D/ST, NE | D/ST | 10 | | 76 | Team 5 | Phillip Rivers, SD | QB | 7 | | 77 | Team 4 | Kellen Winslow Jr., Cle | TE | 5 | | 78 | Team 3 | Tony Romo, Dal | QB | 8 | | 79 | Team 2 | DeAngelo Williams, Car | RB | 7 | | 80 | Team 1 | Chris Cooley, Was | TE | 4 | Analysis - The first pick of the round, Washington running back Ladell Betts was a lucky pull for Team 10, who got insurance for oft-injured Clinton Portis at a bargain rate ... the Patriots defense could have some season with the addition of Adalius Thomas and figuring that the offense shouldn't leave a lot of short fields ... Teams 3 and 5 did just fine waiting for their starting quarterbacks until Round 8 ... lots of people are down on DeAngelo Williams, but getting an upside pick to sit behind Fred Taylor is a solid move in the eighth round ... Kellen Winslow and Chris Cooley were the seventh and eighth tight ends taken, and there's not much of a drop-off, even from the game's best, Antonio Gates. Best Pick - Ladell Betts - with Portis still nursing a knee injury, Betts was an imperative choice for Team 10. And as mentioned above, he came at a great value. Questionable Pick - It's cop-out time, I don't disagree with any of the picks. |
|
| Round 9 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 81 | Team 1 | Donte’ Stallworth, NE | WR | 10 | | 82 | Team 2 | Adam Vinatieri, Ind | K | 6 | | 83 | Team 3 | Santonio Holmes, Pit | WR | 6 | | 84 | Team 4 | Braylon Edwards , Cle | WR | 7 | | 85 | Team 5 | Mark Clayton, Bal | WR | 8 | | 86 | Team 6 | Brandon Jackson, GB | RB | 7 | | 87 | Team 7 | Vincent Jackson, SD | WR | 7 | | 88 | Team 8 | Chargers D/ST, SD | D/ST | 7 | | 89 | Team 9 | LenDale White, Ten | RB | 4 | | 90 | Team 10 | Bernard Berrian, Chi | WR | 9 | Analysis - Here goes another run on wide receivers, and with it, everyone finally has all of their starting slots filled ... with three starting wideouts, inevitable holes have formed, especially for Teams 8 and 9 ... neither squad has a whole lot to get excited about there ... meanwhile, Donte' Stallworth, Santonio Holmes and Vincent Jackson began filling bench slots ... a couple of intriguing running backs check in ... Packers rookie Brandon Jackson and Titans second-year back LenDale White are quality picks this late ... word at Titans camp is that Chris Brown will be the starter for Week 1, but head coach Jeff Fisher would like to see White win that job. Best Pick - Brandon Jackson - he'd be a quality No. 3 back in this format, so having him as the first player off Team 6's bench is a nice luxury. Questionable Pick - Adam Vinatieri - Team 2 was "that guy", taking a kicker with seven rounds remaining in the draft. |
|
| Round 10 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 91 | Team 10 | Terry Glenn, Dal | WR | 8 | | 92 | Team 9 | Kevin Curtis, Phi | WR | 5 | | 93 | Team 8 | Tatum Bell, Det | RB | 6 | | 94 | Team 7 | Julius Jones, Dal | RB | 8 | | 95 | Team 6 | L.J. Smith, Phi | TE | 5 | | 96 | Team 5 | Isaac Bruce, Stl | WR | 9 | | 97 | Team 4 | LaMont Jordan, Oak | RB | 5 | | 98 | Team 3 | Deshaun Foster, Car | RB | 7 | | 99 | Team 2 | Kevin Jones, Det | RB | 6 | | 100 | Team 1 | Jon Kitna, Det | QB | 6 | Analysis - Kevin Curtis is a good sleeper choice with the No. 92 pick ... with a healthy Donovan McNabb, he could have a year similar to Mike Furrey's in Detroit last season ... speaking of the Lions, three of them went off the board this round ... both platoon backs, Tatum Bell and Kevin Jones, and quarterback Jon Kitna, who is also a sleeper with all those weapons Detroit possesses ... three more runners - Julius Jones, LaMont Jordan and Deshaun Foster - are all expected to get a majority of carries for their respective teams ... Team 5 took the Rams' Isaac Bruce and also laid claim to the old man's walker. Best Pick - Julius Jones - if the Dallas running back situation works out similarly to it did last year, Team 7 got a solid and steady running back for his bench. Questionable Pick - Jon Kitna - according to live draft results, this is a good bargain, but similar QBs were available in each of the following six rounds. |
|
| Round 11 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 101 | Team 1 | Greg Jennings, GB | WR | 7 | | 102 | Team 2 | Ben Watson, NE | TE | 10 | | 103 | Team 3 | D.J. Hackett, Sea | WR | 8 | | 104 | Team 4 | Matt Jones, Jax | WR | 4 | | 105 | Team 5 | Devery Henderson, NO | WR | 4 | | 106 | Team 6 | Mike Furrey, Det | WR | 6 | | 107 | Team 7 | Nate Kaeding, SD | K | 7 | | 108 | Team 8 | Jeff Wilkins, Stl | K | 9 | | 109 | Team 9 | Matt Leinart, Ari | QB | 8 | | 110 | Team 10 | Warrick Dunn, Atl | RB | 8 | Analysis - Wide receiver panic sets in at the start of Round 11, and five wideouts go in the first six picks ... some of the more popular sleeper picks - Greg Jennings, D.J. Hackett, Matt Jones and Devery Henderson, found their homes in sequence ... Team 6 is hoping he didn't get on the Mike Furrey train a year too late, a very real threat ... Team 9 addressed his backup quarterback with care, taking a rising star in Matt Leinart with the question marks around Donovan McNabb ... two more reliable kickers - Nate Kaeding and Jeff Wilkins - find homes, not bad plays for Teams 7 and 8 to get a player for their starting lineups, rather than fill another bench slot. Best Pick - Matt Leinart - seemingly hypocritical to the "questionable pick" of Kitna last round, Leinart was a good fit for Team 9. He is a good insurance policy and also provides a sell-high option for McNabb. Questionable Pick - Matt Jones - Team 4 is at it again, grabbing at straws for a wide receiver with big potential. |
|
| Round12 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 111 | Team 10 | Jaguars D/ST, Jax | D/ST | 4 | | 112 | Team 9 | Broncos D/ST, Den | D/ST | 6 | | 113 | Team 8 | Muhsin Muhammed, Chi | WR | 9 | | 114 | Team 7 | Heath Miller, Pit | TE | 6 | | 115 | Team 6 | Eli Manning, NYG | QB | 9 | | 116 | Team 5 | Vernand Morency, GB | RB | 7 | | 117 | Team 4 | Jay Cutler, Den | QB | 6 | | 118 | Team 3 | Dolphins D/ST, Mia | D/ST | 9 | | 119 | Team 2 | Anthony Gonzalez, Ind | WR | 6 | | 120 | Team 1 | Shayne Graham, Cin | K | 5 | Analysis - Defenses lead things off, both solid and reliable units in Jacksonville and Denver ... I, for one, like the prospects of the Jags' defense, bringing back Mike Peterson and adding Florida safety Reggie Nelson in the draft ... it's hard to envision a lot of difference makers in this round, which is why Team 2 would take a player like Anthony Gonzalez .... visions of Brandon Stokley at his peak can drive a fantasy manager to swing for the fences on a smart player like Gonzalez ... Jay Cutler won't push Tom Brady for Team 4's starting quarterback job, but he adds the depth that can help him trade Brady for a position of need. Best Pick - Dolphins Defense - right on par with the Jags and Broncos, Miami flies under the radar because it has less pound for pound talent than other fantasy defenses on its level. Questionable Pick - Heath Miller - though most teams in the league took the option, a backup tight end isn't the best of uses for a roster spot, even if there is uncertainty surrounding Vernon Davis. |
|
| Round 13 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 121 | Team 1 | Greg Olsen, Chi | TE | 9 | | 122 | Team 2 | Vikings D/ST, Min | D/ST | 5 | | 123 | Team 3 | Derrick Mason, Bal | WR | 8 | | 124 | Team 4 | Jason Witten, Dal | TE | 8 | | 125 | Team 5 | Randy McMichael, Stl | TE | 9 | | 126 | Team 6 | Dominic Rhodes, Oak | RB | 5 | | 127 | Team 7 | Devin Hester, Chi | WR | 9 | | 128 | Team 8 | Ted Ginn Jr., Mia | WR | 5 | | 129 | Team 9 | Jerry Porter, Oak | WR | 5 | | 130 | Team 10 | Alex Smith, SF | QB | 6 | Analysis - Most don't like Dominic Rhodes' chances to make an impact with a four-game suspension to start the year, but hedging that Jordan struggles and taking Rhodes as your fifth back is a good strategy .. a couple of special teams nightmares and first-year receivers, Devin Hester and Ted Ginn Jr., go in back-to-back picks ... Ginn is a rookie and Hester makes his debut on the offensive side in 2007 ... a sleeper pick in the Minnesota defense could produce like a Top 5 D this year; the only question is, can that Vikings offense keep the defense off the field? ... how good is Team 3's receiving corps? He added Derrick Mason in the 13th, his sixth receiver of the draft. Best Pick - Vikings defense - again going with a defense for the round's best pick. I'm looking for Minnesota to be right in the second-tier of fantasy defenses, just behind Baltimore, Chicago, New England and San Diego. Questionable Pick - Randy McMichael - Team 5 didn't have many questions to answer at tight end, with Tony Gonzalez already manning the position. Other TEs that went were a little more justified - Olsen with his upside and Witten with some potential concerns about Team 4's starter Kellen Winslow. |
|
| Round 14 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 131 | Team 10 | Brandon Marshall, Den | WR | 6 | | 132 | Team 9 | Chris Henry, Ten | RB | 4 | | 133 | Team 8 | Reuben Droughns, NYG | RB | 9 | | 134 | Team 7 | Roddy White, Atl | WR | 8 | | 135 | Team 6 | Drew Bennett, Stl | WR | 9 | | 136 | Team 5 | Neil Rackers, Ari | K | 8 | | 137 | Team 4 | Michael Turner, SD | RB | 7 | | 138 | Team 3 | Mike Bell, Den | RB | 6 | | 139 | Team 2 | Wes Welker, NE | WR | 10 | | 140 | Team 1 | Cowboys D/ST, Dal | D/ST | 8 | Analysis - "Round of the Backup Running Back" ... four went this round, all of which came at pretty good values ... Denver backup Mike Bell came at the best bargain, going 37 picks later than his average draft position in ESPN leagues ... Bell's teammate Brandon Marshall also came at a good value … Roddy White had some nice performances down the stretch last season, but found the end zone zero times and welcomed a new, mediocre QB Joey Harrington in the offseason ... Wes Welker can really play to his role of a possession receiver in New England with dangerous downfield threats Stallworth and Moss in the picture ... he should be a steady play when Team 2 is looking for bye week relief. Best Pick - Brandon Marshall – he’s a No. 2 wide receiver, and a good one opposite Javon Walker and with a talent like Jay Cutler under center. Questionable Pick - Reuben Droughns - silly to take another backup running back when an insurance policy for Travis Henry (Bell) was there for the taking at a great price tag. |
|
| Round 15 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 141 | Team 1 | Ron Dayne, Hou | RB | 10 | | 142 | Team 2 | Brett Favre, GB | QB | 7 | | 143 | Team 3 | Daniel Graham, Den | TE | 6 | | 144 | Team 4 | Joe Horn, Atl | WR | 8 | | 145 | Team 5 | Ronald Curry, Oak | WR | 5 | | 146 | Team 6 | Dallas Clark, Ind | TE | 6 | | 147 | Team 7 | Dwayne Jarrett, Car | WR | 7 | | 148 | Team 8 | Ben Roethlisberger, Pit | QB | 6 | | 149 | Team 9 | Matt Stover, Bal | K | 8 | | 150 | Team 10 | Robbie Gould, Chi | K | 9 | Analysis - I like the Ron Dayne pick to open the round, he was excellent as a fill-in starter for the Texans at the end of last season ... he does end up being the only back on Team 1's bench, though ... you see both sides of the coin with wide receivers this round ... sound veterans in Joe Horn and Ronald Curry and a talented rookie Dwayne Jarrett all go ... gun slinger Brett Favre and third-year QB Ben Roethlisberger should have better seasons than last year, especially Roethlisberger, who is healthy and in a new offense ... last year's top scoring kicker, Robbie Gould, finally goes off the board ... with the cold and windy conditions at his home stadium, it's hard to believe he'll duplicate last year's feat. Best Pick - Ron Dayne - even if Ahman Green miraculously stays healthy, Dayne could still vulture some goalline carries and have some value. And Team 1 needed a running back BAD. Questionable Pick - Dwayne Jarrett - Backup tight ends were questionable picks again, but I'll go with Jarrett. Potential or no potential, he was wide receiver #7 for Team 7. |
|
| Round 16 | | Pick | Team | Player | Pos. | Bye Week |
|---|
| 151 | Team 10 | Anthony Thomas, Buf | RB | 6 | | 152 | Team 9 | Leon Washington, NYJ | RB | 10 | | 153 | Team 8 | Steve Smith, NYG | WR | 9 | | 154 | Team 7 | Packers D/ST, GB | D/ST | 7 | | 155 | Team 6 | David Akers, Phi | K | 5 | | 156 | Team 5 | Matt Schaub, Hou | QB | 10 | | 157 | Team 4 | Josh Scobee, Jax | K | 4 | | 158 | Team 3 | Josh Brown, Sea | K | 8 | | 159 | Team 2 | Steelers D/ST, Pit | D/ST | 6 | | 160 | Team 1 | Raiders D/ST, Oak | D/ST | 5 | Analysis - Only three teams remained without a kicker entering the last round, which left six teams to fill a bench spot and one a starting defense ... if you want to talk about sleepers, Green Bay's defense is a big time pick with the 154th overall selection ... so is Matt Schaub at No. 156 ... best available choices were made with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders defenses ... both will serve as backups on their respective teams and should be the first cuts when solid free agents are found ... Teams 9 and 10 got pretty solid real-life backups in Anthony Thomas and Leon Washington ... Thomas could be a goalline threat and is good competition for talented rookie Marshawn Lynch in Buffalo ... Washington could draw a Week 1 start for the Jets if Thomas Jones can't recover in time from a calf injury. Best Pick - Leon Washington - Say he does fill in as a starter in Week 1, Team 9's last round draft choice could have an impact right away. Questionable Pick - Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders defenses - some decent running back options were left on the board in favor of a backup defense. | |
